Detox Your Body or Die From Your Diet!
Ever since Adam and Eve began eating foods the human diet has had to endure the introduction of toxins into its body. The discovery of fire brought further introduction of toxins into the human biological system. When we began forging metals air pollution added even more toxins. During the 18th-century industrial revolution factories were pushing out pollutants by the tons. After World War II pollution became a popular issue due to radioactive fallout from atomic testing and warfare. It got so bad that congress pass the clear air act in 1956. Yet, today’s modern age humanoid is engulfed by environmental pollutants beyond any culture in history, due to some countries reluctancy to pass environmental policy laws. Even so, in modern westernized countries like the China, United States, Russia, Japan and Mexico where environmental laws prevail (some countries laws more relaxed) we still are confronted with toxic pollutants from chemicals through air pollutants: transportation emissions, soil contamination: fertilizers, aviation fuel pesticides, batteries; thermal, water, littering, factories and it all finds it way into our food sources.
How Does Pollutants Effect You?
For our purposes here we are going to concentrate on the adverse effects of natural pollutants attributing to the human body’s toxicity and weight gain cause by our diet. Now, in itself the natural foods we eat produce low levels of toxicity as it goes through the human digestive system. Raw kidney beans (small amounts of lectin could be responsible for growth retardation when cooked at lesser temperatures of 168F), Fava Beans ( the well known disease of “Favism is caused by eating these beans in individuals genetically susceptible), Soybeans (contain heat-labile inhibitors meaning susceptible to changes by heat and hemaggultinin causes red blood cells to lump together), raw eggs whites (contain conalbumin and avidin which binds biotin can impair metabolism of B vitamins), mushrooms (contai
Agaricus bisporus, causes cancer in mice), potatoes (contain solanine and chaconine, not harzardous unless eaten in large quantities), parsnips (contain toxic psoralens-potent light-activated carcinogen and mutagens not destroyed by cooking), alfalfa sprouts (contain canavanine which when fed to monkeys causes lupus erythematosus-in humans this is an autoimmune disease), Herbal teas (pyrrolizidine alkaloids causing carciogenic, mutagenic and teratogenic toxins), black pepper (piperine causes tumors in mice), heated milk and heated fats (oxidized fats, oils and cholesterol produce toxic lipid peroxide) according to
U.S. National Library of Medicine
and these are just a few of our natural foods which contain chemical additives and preservatives that cause toxins deliverable to our bodies. We have yet to touched on the processed foods and animal proteins we consume everyday.
The human liver is designed to cleanse the toxins we consume, we need healthy livers to break down the chemicals introduced to our bodies. Through our consumption of alcohol, coffee, adverse reactions to drugs and toxic chemicals in environment and foods are all introduced to our bodies. Today, a very large number of hormone implants are being inserted into beef and chicken (animals) we consume. Steers are implanted with Hormonal Growth Promotants (HGP) which is justified by corporate statements, that tests have shown that a non-pregnant woman produces 54,000 times the amount of estrogen found in a 17 oz steak and that only a fraction of the amount used in human hormone replacement therapy is used in the implants that are put into animals. This is all very well, however, it is still increasing the workload of the liver, which over a long periods may cause hormonal imbalances in those who eat beef regularly. We must ask ourselves why is the incidence of breast cancer so high, particularly in relatively young women? Surely, it is better to eat meat from animals that roam free and happy in fresh green pastures that are not injected with potent hormones or fed concentrated stock feed to rush their growth?
The use of drugs to control and treat animal disease and to promote faster, more efficient growth of livestock is a common practice. An estimated - 80 percent of U.S., livestock and poultry receive some form of animal drugs during their lifetime. Improper use of animal drugs may cause residues in the edible tissues of slaughtered animals that could be hazardous toxins in the diets of humans.
What Does It All Mean?
As intelligent humans beings and we’re ultimately responsible for our own health and we must embark on a regular routine of detoxing our bodies or die from our diets. To some this analysis may seem extreme, but have we not demonstrated that half our health problems are cause by the consumption and intake of our environment and poisonous foods we eat. Detoxing our bodies (cleansing of our liver and colon) on a monthly basis can help to not only lessen our medicals bills, but ultimately allow us to live longer healthier lives. If you have trouble losing weight or maintaining your ideal weight, even when you regulate your food intake and exercise regularly, you should definitely consider whether a toxic liver or colon might be the culprit. As you may have gather by now, the bad news is toxic substances in our food, air, water and environment are damaging our health and sabotaging our weight loss. The good news is that through detoxification we have a fighting chance. By embarking on a new journey of detoxification you can support your body’s system and help fight the early toxic death (from chemicals both natural and man-made) in our environment (air, food and water). Through our research I now firmly believe that detoxification for us not only represents maintaining weight loss, but living a long healthy life.
Detox Your Diet To Live!
We must start with a concentration on the cleansing of our livers and colons. The liver is the human body’s largest organ, it is responsible for many processes that help keep our body’s in balance. The liver regulates our blood flow, supports our digestive system and for women, it keeps the menstrual cycles running in excellent condition. Regarding weight loss the liver breaks down every substance that enters our body’s from the healthiest organic foods to the poisonous additives and preservatives; from the so-called pure water we drink to the glass of wine or cup of coffee; from our daily vitamins and minerals to the doctor prescribed medications we consume in our diets everyday. The liver’s function is to keep the good stuff (nutrients) and discard the bad (toxins) through our bloodstream we do not need. Now that we have established how important it is to detox your liver it’s equally important to remember that detoxification if not done correctly can leave your liver in worst shape than when you began.
First, let’s examine the phases the liver must undergo to begin the healthy process of detoxing: In Phase 1 your liver mobilizes up to hundred enzymes that bind with toxin to oxidize them. They change to a less toxicity. In Phase II, other toxins are made more toxic, these intermediate toxic compounds have to be broken down further and bound to amino acids or nutrients. This is how your liver detoxifies medications, solvents, petroleum products, heavy metals, alcohol and well as natural body producing hormones. Because our liver is working so hard it needs a healthy supply of antioxidants found in colorful vegetables, fruits, herbs, and spices to support it during this process. “For phase I we need vitamins A, B, B2, C and E. For phase II we need Folic acid, vitami
E, selenium, manganese, and glutahione as well as the Amino acid methionine, cysteine, glycine, glutamine, and taurine,” according to A
