After a series of experiments and clinical trials over the past few years, medical scientists have concluded that the only cholesterol-lowering drugs usually ineffective to control cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of heart disease. Medical scientists say that without a proper diet and regular physical exercise, cholesterol-lowering drugs may not prevent the accumulation of cholesterol deposition of cholesterol inside the body damage or replace.

Regardless of whether the nature of cholesterol-lowering drugs are effective only when approved by the proper diet plan and a lot of physical activity. Obese people who takes cholesterol-lowering drug therapy is also advised to lose weight in order to increase the effectiveness of such drugs and greatly reduce the risk of heart disease.

Some recent medical experiments results clearly understand that even the most effective cholesterol-lowering drugs can not replace proper diet and regular exercise. According to the researchers, the risk of heart disease increases the proportion of bad cholesterol (the bad cholesterol in the viscosity of the fatty material that builds up inside the body, the obstruction of the arteries, the higher the levels of bad cholesterol, the greater the likelihood of coronary disease and heart attack) and BMI ( body mass index).

Obese people who takes cholesterol-lowering drug therapy can balance cholesterol levels. However, high BMI (due to improper diet and lack of physical activity) can pose a serious threat to your life, because of this fact, many people with weight problems, which is administered by the treatment of cholesterol-lowering drugs are not safe from coronary artery disease and other high- cholesterol-related problems.

Appropriate and convincing experiment on this question recently experienced team conducted medical research. Investigated 409 patients exposed to cholesterol problems, heart disease and coronary artery obstruction participation. Patients were divided into 3 separate groups were studied over a 5 years period.

The first group of 92 subjects, the doctor prescribed treatment with cholesterol-lowering drugs, keep a strict diet and exercised regularly, working hard, to maintain normal blood cholesterol levels (LDL - the bad cholesterol by 90 and the value of HDL - the good cholesterol above the 45 value).

The second group included patients who did not take cholesterol-lowering drugs, unhealthy diet and inactive lifestyle. The last group included patients who were on a designated physician and cholesterol-lowering drugs, but were not a healthy diet, and did not regularly.

By the end of the study, the results were more than convincing: about 8 percent of the first group of patients had a heart attack or stroke during the study period, about 31 percent of patients in group two had a heart attack or stroke, approximately 24 percent of patients in the third group had a heart attack or stroke . Compared with the second group, the first group (patients who received cholesterol-lowering drugs, has maintained a healthy diet and regular use) were exposed to the lowest risk of heart failure or stroke, abnormal cholesterol levels.

Experimental results clearly show that cholesterol-lowering medication, proper diet and regular physical exercise should go hand in hand. In order to minimize the risk of heart attack and stroke risk in patients with cholesterol problems are advised not to rely solely on medication, they should follow proper diet plan and exercise often.
