You need HRD attestation when you are applying for higher education in another country. MEA Attestation - Stands for Ministry of External Affairs, this Ministry is responsible for attesting educational as well as non-educational documents and certificates. It is an essential authentication procedure for all kinds of documents. MEA attestation means getting verification stamp from the central government department. Before going for central level legalization for a degree certificate, it requires document attestation from HRD and notary. Embassy Attestation - Embassy attestation is conducted after HRD and MEA attestation. When you travel to another country for miscellaneous reasons, you need to get all your documents verified by the embassy or the consulate, for example, the UAE embassy attestation. Is document attestation procedure necessary? Just like you don’t want any strange person to enter your home or want to know about the person before letting them enter, every country wants to verify certain documents for security reasons. Every year, thousands of people travel from one country to another. As such, it becomes more important for a country to verify personal, educational, or commercial documents to avoid any kind of disruption or obstruction. Traveling abroad requires a visa and a passport and a visa is only issued when your documents are attested by designated officials of the country. The document could be your education certificate, marriage certificate, degree certificate, and any other document.
