In a medical laboratory, incubators play an important role, as they provide a controlled environment that regulate and adjusts the temperature, humiliation and ventilation. These units are used for keeping pre mature babies, nurture micro-organisms and hatch poultry eggs. Apart from these, nowadays, people are becoming curious on raising pets such as lizards and amphibians, rather than buying them. Therefore, to hatch a reptile egg there are certain temperature conditions that are required, and these can be only provided by these units.

There are different types of incubators such as B.O.D incubator, bacteriological incubator, carbon die oxide incubator, metabolic shaker and incubator shaker. These incubators have a similar construction as they are double walled convection heated units; the outer body is made of PRPC sheet and the inner chamber is made of heavy gauge stainless steel sheet of SS-304 grade. Adding on, Acmas Technocracy is one of the leading BOD incubator manufacturers across India and abroad. The temperature ranges of these incubators are 50 degree Celsius to 60 degree Celsius. The temperature inside these chambers is controlled with the sensitivity of +0.5 degree Celsius or better. However, there is a capacity to modify the temperature range of these equipments to provide best conditions for the organisms to grow. These equipments are energy efficient, generally have a long life and are low on maintenance and versatile when it comes to its usage.

A part from the organisms that need particular conditions to grow and nurture, there are medicines that have properties that are affected by temperature, humidity and illumination, which detect the nature of medication that whether these drugs are hazardous or unsuitable or else suitable. Therefore, to detect suitability and unsuitability, there are incubators in order to find out their life and appropriateness.

A lab incubator is even used for tissue culture. Tissue culture is a kind of research method that takes out tissue parts from animals and plants. By examining the fragments’ of tissues, scientists can gain insights that how cells function and work. For instance, scientists can detect the nature of how cancer cells behave, which leads to further exploration as on the basis of this exploration there would be vaccines for diseases such as influenza, mumps, polio, and measles. These incubators can be also used in genetic engineering, which is an extended form of tissue culture. Genetic engineering may also be used to improve the nutritional content of vegetables and fruits. They even amplify resistance against diseases.
