What is it? Dip moulding is an effective and simple method used in producing vinyl mouldings which are flexible. These mouldings are used for various purposes and for different industries for that matter. This process protects and enhances products through finishing that is flash free and use of gloss seam that is of high quality. Different materials are used in making the process possible and even though it is a simple process, only professionals can give great results. Dip moulding services The dip mouldings offer excellent insulation of electricity and the products can therefore be used for the different industries. Dip moulding process The moulds or tools are first mounted on a plate containing drop which is sufficient so that tool dipping is avoided when plastisol is brought. The tool will then be preheated under temperatures which are suitable and for a period which will be determined by features like the wall thickness and the moulding thickness that is required. After the preheating process, this tool will then be placed over a plastisol tank for the dipping. The speed at which the moulding takes shape will depend on the shape of the tool. You will find that straight tools tend to take shorter period as compared to hollow tools since the running of the plastisol will be slow. The dip is set to stop at a given point after which the tool will be left for a considerable period so that the material can build up around this tool which in turn ensures that the needed thickness is achieved. After this the tool will be withdrawn at a speed determined by its shape and then placed in an oven that is low for curing. It will then be quenched dip coating medical moulding into cool water so that it can be removed from the moulding. The stripping method will depend on the tool shape and thickness.
