You do not have to create or deliver products or deal with customers, refunds or questions about the product. It is an easy way to start an online business because you work within the affiliate program, using tools given to you by the merchant who developed the product, service or membership.

If you have already started an online business and made some money, then the next thing you would want to do is increase profits. Since knowledge is power, follow these powerful tips to earn more money by increasing your commissions overnight.

1. Start by finding the best product or program to promote, as you want to be able to gain the highest profits in the shortest amount of time. One way to accomplish this is by selecting an affiliate program that has the most generous commission pay-outs and that pay in a timely manner. Choose products that will appeal to your target audience.

Read all the reviews you can find on the product you want to promote to be sure customers are not complaining about it. Do not rush into promoting anything, because if there is a high refund rate on the product, you will end up losing your advertising money. If the product you selected after careful research still does not increase your profits, discontinue the program and search for something better.

2. No matter what program you choose, there will be competition from other marketers who are promoting the same product. You can separate yourself from the crowd by writing short reports or even ebooks about the product you are advertising. You will also establish yourself as an expert author and gain credibility by using this method. Always provide valuable free information in your reports and then recommend the product without turning the report into a sales letter.

Always have an opt-in box for those who want the free ebook or report to give their contact information. Doing that will ensure that you will have an email list to which you can send follow-up offers and make more sales. If you do not have an opt-in box of your own, you will just help to build an email list for the vendor when you send your customers to them to make a purchase. They will certainly collect the customer’s information but it will not benefit you if you do not start your own list.

3. After you have made sales for a particular merchant and have run a few successful affiliate marketing promotions, try to negotiate a larger commission. Most merchants want to keep their best affiliates happy and may be willing to raise your commission amount or offer you a higher percentage. The commission is the only cost to them for having you promote, advertise and sell their products and they still make a considerable amount of money over and above your commission. If you are making many sales for them, do not feel bad about asking for a better commission within reason.
