and you are unable to concentrate on your daily activities, then you need to do something to cope with daily life stress to improve the quality of your life.

Some people eat too much when they are stressed out resulting to weight gain and some drink alcohol or smoke to ease their stress. The worst thing that could happen is to fall into substance abuse due to stress. It is important to learn how to cope with daily life stress without the use of alcohol, drugs or any harmful habits.

Many things can trigger stress, even positive things like a promotion at work can result to overwhelming stress. Things as simple as traveling to and from work or school everyday can give you stress. It is important that you know how to cope with daily life stress to be able to live normally. Here are some tips:

Recognize when you are stressed out. To cope with daily life stress, the first thing that you should do is to recognize when you are stressed out. Listen to your body and know when you need to slow down and take a break from your busy everyday life. You cannot give your 100% performance at school, work or in your relationships if you are trying to continue even if you are already stressed and exhausted. Recognize when you are stressed out and give yourself time to recuperate to have renewed energy and new perspective on your situation.

Learn how to react to stress. Stress is inevitable and there are things beyond your control, so stop worrying on things you cannot control. You are just wasting your energy in worrying about things that are beyond your control. You cannot control uncontrollable stress triggers but you can control your reaction. Try to accept things you cannot change and respond to it the positive way. Accept that life is a series of controllable and uncontrollable changes and lessen your stress by not worrying about things you cannot change.

Be physically active. Physical activity is the cheapest and healthiest way to relieve stress. Simple physical activities like brisk walking, dancing or biking are not only enjoyable but they can help you cope with daily life stress. Being physically active can improve your mood and can relieve physical tension brought by stress. Schedule a regular exercise or morning walk to relieve stress and improve the quality of your life.

Plan and prepare in advance. Not knowing what to do or cramming on a deadline can be really stressful. One of the best ways to cope with daily life stress is to be prepared. If you have a job interview or school exam, prepare ahead of time to avoid stress. If you have a deadline at work, do not work on it the night before the deadline. Think and plan on how to use your time and how much time you need to accomplish the tasks. Be realistic and do not accept work you cannot accomplish on the given time. Give yourself enough time to get things done and avoid cramming that could result to overwhelming stress.

Get organized. Being disorganized can result to stress. To cope with daily life stress, you need to get organized. If there are tasks that you need to accomplish, you can organize the things you need to accomplish by making a "to do list" and accomplish things according to their importance. This way you can get things done with less stress or tension. It is also important to be organized at home and at work. It can be really stressful to look for misplaced files at work or deal with a messy kitchen at home. Organize things and your life will be less chaotic and stressful.

Talk to someone you are comfortable with. Stress can affect your moods and the way you think. If you are feeling low, stressed out and depressed it would be really helpful if you can share your feelings with someone who is willing to listen. Connect with your spouse, parents or friends. If you cannot handle your stress on your own and your stress is getting worse, seek help.

Stress is a normal part of life but if left untreated it can lead to serious health problems.
