One of the main things you should learn with your website is that you need to expand your income.

Supposing most of your ads are with Google AdSense. Let’s suppose it makes up 90% of your website's earnings. Heaven forbid if Google should ever suspend your account! You would lose 90% of your online earnings, then what would you do? Can you recover your losses immediately? For most individuals, they would not.

Therefore if you have a website, expand your income by not only making use of Pay Per Click sponsors, but also use a Direct Leads sponsor, a CPA sponsor, or by promoting products or services and be paid a commission for it.

Just make sure to examine the performance of your website. One way of doing this is by observing which banners and ads are performing well and which ones are not. Rotating you banners every few months is also a good idea. You should to do this because your readers will soon overlook all your ads and banners as they become “banner blind”.

Expanding your online income also consists of opening other sites. Presently, I have a number of websites that I get income from. Almost 4 months previously, Google banned one of my websites from their search engine! Among internet marketers, this is a frequent thing. It seems that my website had a lot of outgoing links to sponsor ads and they considered it a "link farm". At that time, I was making about $1000 per month for that site.If I didn't have all of my other websites to pick up the slack, can you imagine the disaster that could have happened?

Another way to diversify your sites is to have some of them on different servers. It’s not expensive to host a website. If you can throw one or two of them up on a $5.99 a month server and pay for a year's worth of hosting, then you’re on the right track. Not only does it have search engine benefits, but if one of your servers should go down, not all of your sites are down at once.

If you want to make the most money online then you certainly need to vary your income streams.
