Divine Discontent -- Answering the Call

Whenever we are not living in our "true place" we experience what is called "Divine Discontent." It is an inner urging that calls us forth to our next growth opportunity. Yet so often we ignore it or procrastinate on listening to it. And usually something unexpected happens to throw us into a state of having to listen. rnFor example, this is often seen when people get fired from a job. In hindsight, they can see that there was that feeling telling them they were unhappy or unfulfilled, but not knowing what to do, they do nothing, and eventually the universe does it for them. Later, they can look back and see that getting fired was really a blessing, as it spurs them on to do greater things. rnThat is the feeling of Divine Discontent and it is the precursor to Desire. Desire is also Divine (the word comes from De-Sire - "of the Father") rnSo when you feel discontented, immediately look to uncover the desire. Ask yourself questions like these: What am I being prompted to do? What is my life's purpose? If I could do anything I wanted, what would it be? Then meditate on it. Search your soul for the answer to these questions. If you will do the inner work then - and not wait for a crisis to form to make you do it - you can make a smoother transition to your next step in this spiritual journey called: your life. According to Sanaya Roman & Duane Parker in their book, Creating Money: "You can decide how much discontent and dissatisfaction motivates you to act on your inner messages. Some of you...change your circumstances when you hear the whispers, letting go easily and embracing new directions..others do not make changes until more problems are created." rnCultivate the art of letting go and reaching for your next experience. When that inner voice whispers: Turn it up...and listen.
