One of the worst feelings is when you are dizzy or nauseated and you don't even know why. It might be because you are hungry and your blood sugar has dropped. There are other conditions that will cause you to feel dizzy that could mean a visit to the doctor is in order. As soon as you notice that you are feeling nauseated and dizzy, you need to track when you’re not feeling good and what seems to relieve your symptoms, if anything, so that you can give that information to the doctor. Here are some things to look out for:

Fainting Spells

One of the ways that you can tell if you are about to faint is that you will become very dizzy. It will feel like the room is spinning and that you are about to fall down. Some people see black spots before they faint while others feel sick to the stomach. You could also feel a warming sensation in the body and like your head is completely cloudy. You may even start to notice your hearing feeling like it is clogged.

Insect Bites

If you are allergic to insects, then you might experience a nauseous feeling as well as being dizzy shortly after being bitten. Swelling could happen as well, which usually goes away with ice applied to the area. If you are severely allergic to insect bites, then you might find that it's hard to breathe. An epinephrine injector that has medication in it can be used to help relieve the symptoms that you have. If you don’t have one of these available to you, though, make sure to get to the ER as soon as you can. You should also make it a point to visit a professional, such as one from Oak Brook Allergists, who can help you to avoid future extreme allergic reactions.

Anxiety Disorders

At times, you might feel overwhelmed with your situation at home or at work. The tasks that you have to complete at home or the pressures of relationships or finances could be so overwhelming that you feel like you can no longer handle anything. An anxiety attack is usually caused when you have a weighted feeling of the mind that affects the body. It's a frightening experience and is often intertwined with feelings of being dizzy.

The Dreaded Flu

Most people have had a bout with a flu at some point. It's a virus that causes a fever, aches in the muscles and fatigue. At times, you could have a nauseous feeling without vomiting. You might feel dizzy, especially after quickly getting up from sleeping for long periods of time or if the body is dehydrated because of not being able to eat as much. Feeling dizzy is an experience that can be frightening for many people. There are medications that you can take if it's something that is repetitive. Doctors can perform tests, such as an MRI, to see if there is anything long-term that might be taking place in the body so that you can get the proper treatment for the symptoms that you have. Hopefully, though, your symptoms won’t be the result of something too serious. Just take things slow and remember to take care of yourself.
