While some may say that the facial aging process is a difficult one to tackle, those using DNA repair topical treatments may beg to differ. Scientists have stepped in, developing a myriad of DNA repair systems which involve the delicate blend of enzymes and biotechnology. The results have been rather phenomenal.

Although aging happens through time, what really accelerates the process is exposure to ultra violet rays without proper protection.

Experts in the field of dermatology determine that majority of sun damage is done while people are younger and more carefree. The end result of either a sunbu
or tan is the same -- skin damage has occurred.

And as the years wear on, facial signs of insufficient sunscreen include:

  • Dark spots
  • Fine lines
  • Freckles
  • Wrinkles

A DNA repair treatment assists in the recovery of the above issues, as well as helping the delay of facial and neck aging. The main compounds in these topical creams and serums have a glaring commonality: repair cellular DNA damaged by the sun and postpone more damage.

The technical term of injured cellular DNA is apoptosis. When present, it becomes more difficult to ward off sunbu
s and challenges the skin in mending itself. With it, of course, comes tissue damage.

The body naturally produces DNA repair enzymes to guard one from apoptosis, but unfortunately, sometimes the enzyme amount just isn’t enough. DNA repair topical treatments will add an extra layer of defense against apoptosis and plays a valuable role in repairing the damage already done.

In fact, studies have shown it to speed up a person’s natural defense mechanisms within the body.

Though different products may vary, typical recommended application of these treatments is for both mornings and evenings.

To date, DNA repair creams and serums do not have a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) ingredient. With that said, it’s extremely important to apply and reapply sunscreen when outdoors.

Even though the sun’s warmth may feel great on your bare skin the truth of the matter is that it’s the leading cause of wrinkles. Although sun-worshipers hate to hear it, the after effects of tanning will result in more wrinkles over time.

If being outdoors is a must, by all means, wear sunscreen to block out future wrinkles, and most of all, skin cancer.

And when you’re out and about, remember to wear sunglasses. It will protect the delicate skin around your eyes.
