Start a small business can mean a lot of tough choices, and picking the phone service is no exception. Do you need a business phone service? The answer depends on what business you are creating and how much flexibility you need.

First, we must look at the options available. There are three most beginners use: where a business that is usually only one person uses a mobile telephone service, VoIP, or Voice over Internet Protocol, which uses an Internet connection to make and receive calls and land line, we all know. Cellular and VoIP is cheaper than a business phone system, which is why they are popular with beginners. And they all will fit your basic needs fairly well, but the land line is better suited for certain types of businesses.

For example, if you have an office or shop you're working out, whether it be at home or space that you rent, business telephone service makes sense for several reasons. First of all, it is a solid building block to rest his voice cast. In the U.S., you can configure a service like Google Voice for your business around a fixed line, all calls will be played for your business phone, your home phone and your cell phone, voice dial, where you are, and present it to your email account. You can have a relationship, even when in office, and can more easily keep track messages.

And, if for any reason, the digital service does not work, you've got the land line tied to your office address so that people can always find you. If your business lives and dies in dealing with customers, it's good that the basis of development. This is especially useful if your business caters to older clients: not everyone has e-mail address or handy with a computer

Second, on the line is stable. VoIP relies on power continuously, and if somebody calls you during a power outage, they can get a busy signal. Or, worse yet, if there's brownout, while speaking to a client, you can drop the call completely. Land lines are more secure, much less dropped calls, and you do not have to worry about missing anything, it would be an important voice, or simply remained associated with an important client.

Also, if you think that you grow your current office, and may need to add more capacity quickly, business phone service is worth the price: all you need is built right into the system already and adjustments are relatively easy to implement.

On the other hand, if you're going to track items, or need more flexibility, VoIP or cellular service may make more sense. Land line can serve as a strong foundation for your business communications, but if you are one person operation and has no plans to expand its employee base, such as running a consulting business, the price may not make sense.

However, starting a new business is always worth considering a business phone system. Stability is rare in the startup world, and hey, it is nice to be able to rely on their phones.
