For people having difficulty with thrombosed and external hemorrhoids, it's becoming very popular to get the hemorrhoid banding procedure. If not done right the procedure could have complications or not help alleviate hemorrhoid pain at all.

A phrase of warning don't buy a hemorrhoid banding not having actually doing your research looking each and every replacement for medical procedures.

So How Did Hemorrhoid Banding Start?

It's very interesting to note that hemorrhoid banding can be detailed all the way back thousands of years ago to around 460 BC to be more precise. It was Hippocrates who first wrote about the hemorrhoid banding as a technique to treat enlarged hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoid banding grew more in popularity with common people in the 19th century. As you can imagine hemorrhoid banding back in the day was extremely painful because of their lack of high doses of anesthesia.

Just as before if you're planning to get the hemorrhoid banding procedure, just make sure you find safe and effective solutions for them.

How Does Hemorrhoid Banding Get Results?

Hemorrhoid banding is about banding the inflamed hemorrhoids until blood flow to the affected area is stopped. After about 2 weeks the inflamed flesh will be dead and eventually fall off.

The Procedure:

1. Drugs you must take prior to the hemorrhoid banding operation.

Before the procedure all anticoagulant drugs must be stopped and not in your system.

Once again should you be interested in natural cures for hemroids just make sure you find effective and safe solutions for them.

2. Enema

Another usual thing done before a hemorrhoid banding procedure is to give the patient an enema just to make sure that his or her rectum is free from any fecal matter.

3. How Your Body Will Be Laying While This Happens:

Most physicians who will do the hemorrhoid banding procedure will have the hemorrhoid patient lie on their left side with knees bent as much as possible.

4. How They Will Put On The Band Itself:

A proctoscope is inserted in the anus to look for the enlarged hemorrhoids. After the doctor finds these enlarged hemorrhoids he'll use a surgical tool called a ligator in order to clasp onto these enlarged hemorrhoids. Afterwards, a band will be put in place to tie the hemorrhoids.

There are times when 2 bands will be placed on just to make certain one does not break and that 100% of the blood supply is halted.

If a patient will experience sharp pain afterwards, then it's probably because a wrong technique was done in applying the bands to the enlarged hemorrhoids. Once this is suspected, the bands must be removed immediately and reapplied using a more proper technique.

What's The Hemorrhoid Banding Success Rate?

Studies now are showing that hemorrhoid banding can be effective in helping get rid of the hemorrhoids that are now on your body but they won't ensure that hemorrhoids won't come back. 60-80% of patients who have undergone hemorrhoid banding have generally experienced satisfactory results.
