Many Professional Speakers out-perform others in giving speeches or taking their stage. But does their public speaking predict their vocational success? Does it all come down to the power of the voice or possessing the authority over your own convictions, thoughts and opinions? Public speaking might be much more. The key elements to Public speaking success are not just the power of your voice. rnGreat verbal authority, great practical intelligence and a very good social connection all comprise the major elements to success in public speaking. rnImagine watching a scary movie. As the tension mounts, your palms sweat and your heart beats faster. You begin shoveling popcorn in your mouth, carelessly spilling some on your lap. If someone were to ask what you are doing at the moment, you may say, "nothing- just watching a movie." Yet a lot has been going on in your brain and your body; helping you to process the moment situation.rnEven in this example, you can see how behavior is triggered by situations. Taking stage can put you in these or worse place. How then do you process? Your verbal authority is one major key to public speaking success. Verbal authority means that you are speaking clearly and articulately, you are knowledgeable about your beliefs, you have clear comprehension of your words and you are fluent. Your verbal authority mirrors the confidence you have in your convictions. Your confidence with your convictions (beliefs and opinions) wins your audience "Trust." Audience trust which is therefore from "the Power of the Voice" is a very important key to a successful speech. Great practical intelligence is another important element that is often overlooked. You can have knowledge of your speech but fail terribly if you overlooked the practical element. It comes down to "adapting to your speech before you take on the stage." Why do you think good speakers like Obama or Clinton need physical/ practical performance before any major public speech? Why do they precisely take a backstage for practical purposes? A few reasons, but here is the secret, they get to size up their convictions, see all aspects of problems their beliefs may cause, get a chance to make good decisions concerning their beliefs and get the hang of posing problems in optimal way at the stage.rnGood social connection must come in handy with great verbal authority and great practical intelligence. A good speaker must have a very good social conscience or the understanding and belief in a greater good. Your beliefs should reflect the sense that there is an intimate bond among individuals. You must be sensible to other people’s thoughts, needs or desires and must accept others for what they are. As such, you must address the solutions to your convictions from your audience point of view. A good way to achieve good social connection is by being honesty. Connecting to the audience is reflecting self and being honest. rnPublic speaking may not predict vocational success but great speech makes a huge difference. Applying the three elements to success in public speaking, helps you recognize and avoid fallacies such as irrelevant reasoning, slippery slope reasoning and weak or false convictions. The Professionals speakers, politicians, wedding speakers or vocational speakers who embrace these elements tend to claim greater vocational success because even when their speech shares the most common ideas; it remains a "Great speech."rnhttp://mwalihrecommends.info/talking-successrn
