Does Stress Cause Grey Hair? Brainwave Entrainment Can Give It Back Some Colour

There are a few reasons out there, that can contribute to the greying of our precious locks, none least of which is genetics.
You can't run away from your family genes, I'm afraid. If your family stared turning white in their teens, as mine did, you probably will follow suit...thank God for Miss Clairol. If they lost the colour in their hair when they were in their eighties, again, you'll probably follow their example.
Even though genetics play a big part in how and when we turn grey, there is mounting scientific evidence showing that stress may have more influence over our head of hair than was thought.
It has been recognized that chronic stress, either physical, emotional, or mental, lasting two or more years, will cause a person's hair to go grey earlier than their genetic pattern.
Stress prematurely ages you, all of you...not just your hair.
Living in our modern world sets us up for chronic, prolonged stress and it is affecting us in real, physical ways. When you respond to events that make you feel threatened or upset your balance in some way, your body's defenses kick in, the brain releasing stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline.
If you were still a caveman, this response would probably save your life.
In your life today, those same stress hormones flood your mind and body and wreck havoc on all of your body's systems. If you don't feel any relief from your stress response, real damage begins at a cellular level.
One thing that can happen is that your hair turns grey.
Have you ever noticed how the presidents all seem to go grey ove
ight after they take office.
It's probably because their body is coursing with high levels of stress hormones.
You can never get rid of stress...it is a necessary component of life but you can minimize some its harsh side effects.
How Stress Greys Hair
It is believed that when high levels of stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline flood the body, free radicals start damaging the body.
Free radicals are unstable molecules that attack and damage melanocyte cells, affecting the production of melanin.
Melanin is the pigment that gives our skin, hair and eyes their color. If free radicals attack the melanin in our hair cells, the colour is lost.
Stress causes imbalances in the body. If too much cortisol is in the body, other life-sustaining hormones are at an imbalance also. Some raise their levels just to stay the same, as in estrogen, which is dangerous if there are any lurking cancer cells in the body. An imbalance in the body can show up as premature grey hair.
When you are under stress, you sleep less, eat wrong, and never stop to relieve the pressure. All of that ages you and can show up as dead looking skin and grey hair.
Does stress cause grey hair?
Maybe, most likely...it looks like it is totally possible.
Brainwave entrainment, a scientifically proven technology that uses audio and/or visual pulses to influence the brain, can give your mind that pause it so badly needs to reduce the effects of stress.
Specialized repeated, rhythmic recordings are introduced to the brain, with the intention of changing its brainwave frequency to one of relaxation and healing. The brain will mimic this pattern and change its state of consciousness, giving you the relief you need, and just might stop that premature grey hair from developing.
Research shows that specific brainwave entrainment recordings can restore the vitality of hair-bring back thinning hair-and the colour.
You can turn grey over night...or not. Reducing stress just might slow it down.
