Dog Beds - Do You Need 1?
For years, we knew for a fact that our 135 pound Newfoundland slept on the bed - or the couch - while we were gone, so we bought him a memory foam bed and now we don't have that problem any more! Our dog's bed works the same as the ones, we human beings use. Therefore, your dog enjoys the same benefits of support that we do, especially if you have an old dog suffering with joint problems. We placed his bed at the foot of our bed under the ceiling fan. More than once did we saw him sleeping on his back, his belly up, and his fur, swaying to and fro. He seems to be having a nice time in dreamland. He is one satisfied dog!! He is one pleased dog!
Our dog is getting older so we strive to maintain his physical fitness and happy disposition so he can be with us for a long time. We tenderly call our dog, BooBoo. We frequently spoil him with goodies but not to the level that is harmful to his well-being. He has limitations on food, so we monitor his intake. Even the treats we serve him is healthy. He has a tendency to gulp his food and water, like most creatures do. He consumes his food in just a matter of seconds.
When he drinks his water, and he drinks a lot, he just hurriedly drink it as well. We searched for studies and found out that gulping food is harmful for BooBoo. It can cause acid reflux, overeating, erratic eating, choking, vomiting, digestive and nausea problems. Then, we found these really amazing bowls for food and water where it controls his eating and drinking tempo. I guess somebody has to invent one for us too, since we humans like to accelerate everything.
I'm uncertain if you are acquainted with the Newfoundland breed of dog. It has a very dense coat and sheds huge amount of greasy dander. They are rescue dogs in the icy waters of Newfoundland so they need quite a bit of protection and insulation against the cold. Nevertheless, the prickly heat of the summer in our place can be unpleasant for him.
He sheds a lot, and his coat has a distinct odor. He would begin to smell bad all throughout the chill season. We don't like bathing him during winter because his fur dries too slow. Therefore we had to find another option on how to bathe our dog.And find it we did.We came across an amazing brush that uses negative ions without water or chemicals to clean and remove odor, and it even untangles matted fur. BooBoo gets to be cleaned during summer and winter, and we will enjoy him smelling fresh. Humans and dog alike are pleased.
Yes, we do pamper our pets. Yet, they give us so much in return. If you want your dog to grow old with you, make sure he/she stays in good physical condition with a proper diet, exercise and rest. Most of all, love, love, love.
Do not let your pet rest around the uncomfortable Floor. Get him comfy on dog beds. At www.safehomeproducts.com you may select from a assortment of dog beds that may suit your needs.
