A fever is a body temperature that is higher than normal. It is not an illness. It is part of your body’s defense against infection. Most bacteria and viruses that cause infections survive at the normal temperature of the body which is 98.6 F. A slight fever can make it harder for them to survive. Fever indicates that your body’s immune system is activated and fighting an infection. Using drugs to lower fevers has been standard operating procedure for almost all allopathic medicine practitioners. Medications may be needed for reducing body pain taking a drug to reduce fever is not the right thing. Suppressing fevers can increase rapid viral replication, resulting in a futile effort by the immune system to fight back. This is can have disastrous results.
