Here is a delicious soup that will heal your inflammation and build up your probiotics at the same time. Full of the goodness of Cassava Root, also known as Yuca, or Yucca, or Tapioca Root. With the powerful healing abilities of Swiss Chard and turmeric. And this soup is super filling and amazingly tasty. Cassava tastes similar to potato and contains lots of resistant starch which feeds probiotic bacteria in our gut… and new studies show Cassava prevents diabetes.

Another Whole-Foods Plant-Based Recipe

Ingredients:

4 - Cups of Organic Peeled and Cooked Cassava Root — You can find Cassava at Asian and Latin Markets and you can also substitute potatoes in this recipe.

12 - Cloves of Organic Garlic - Minced

1 - Large Organic Onion - Chopped

3 - Cups of Organic Swiss Chard - Coarsely Chopped

4 - Organic Salt-Free Veggie Bouillon Cubes

1 - Large Orange Organic Bell Pepper - Thinly Sliced for Garnish

1 - Cup of Organic Green Onions Tops - Chopped for Garnish

3 - Tablespoons of Organic Dried Ground Veggies Flakes - Or use Misses Dash a salt-free seasoning in a pinch.

1 - Teaspoon of Organic Turmeric Powder

Salt and Pepper to Taste

Enough Filtered Water to Cover

In a large pan add the onion and garlic and sauté until translucent. Then add the cooked cassava, water, veggies cubes, dried veggies, and turmeric and salt and pepper and cook until everything is hot. Turn off the heat and add the chopped Swiss Chard and allow to cool.

Place the soup in a bowl and add the garnish of green onions and bell pepper.

That’s It! — Super Simple.

“Health Benefits of Organic Yuca or Cassava Root”

Yucca Root is very common in the tropics… including Florida, Mexico, Central America and South America and Yucca has many health benefits that most people don’t know about.

According to a study in the “journal of Applied Nutrition” Yucca has anti-inflammatory and anti-arthritic properties and it helps with pain, stiffness, and swelling.

Yucca also works well for Fibromyalgia, and it works well for people with high blood pressure. And studies show that it’s a good antibacterial agent and antifungal agent too! Yucca also helps purify and detox the blood and at the same time helps with gout.

And Yucca is full of antioxidants that help clean up free radicals helping you to stay young.

Contains lots of resistant starch that feeds our probiotic bacteria and thus boosts up our immune system. And new studies show that yucca or cassava helps to prevent diabetes. Studies were done in African and other countries that eat lots of this root and found that they have a much lower likelihood of coming down with diabetes... all because of all the resistant starch that feed or good bacteria and help keep us healthy.

Yucca also helps with hypoglycemia and diabetes too… helping to lower blood glucose and stabilizing it and Yucca lowers cholesterol levels.

Yucca can also be used for healing glaucoma and Yucca is full of Vitamin C and lots of great minerals plus it also contains protein, potassium, magnesium, iron, and zinc.

Yucca can be found in capsules and the cooked root is wonderful… and it needs to be cooked.
