Things happen for a reason. Has your life suddenly turned topsy turvy? Are you experiencing health challenges - back pain? Herniated disc? Other. Hold on, this may be a blessing in disguise. It is common for our brain to take us to back to another time in our life when things were good and we thrived on dreams of things to be.

Do you remember those dreams? As a child did you dream of becoming something so out of the ordinary that as you grew older the dream appeared as unrealistic and began to fade, eventually perhaps to be erased altogether, replaced by responsibilities; education, career, family. We settle for less than what we dreamed of. It is a different life from that of your childhood dreams, have you settled settle for a comfortable life.

It often takes our comfortable life as we've known it being taken away from us before we realize how precious every day is, and for that matter our lives. Being diagnosed with a herniated disc, back injury, or any type of serious illness gives us a chance to reflect on our lives, and quite often during these times we find ourselves begging for a second chance.

If you're given that second chance are you going to take it? Are you going to do all those things you've always dreamed of doing?

Go ahead and polish off those childhood dreams. Are they so silly after all or can they be looked upon as things to do, to accomplish... to set them up as goals perhaps?
Without a clear direction or goal the winds of change will continue to blow you around and you may never get to realize your dreams or, worse yet, you'll once again forget what they were, settling yet once again for a life compromised. Did you dream of adventure? Writing a book? Exploring the Amazon? Or perhaps you just settled for a career that made sense but lacks heart and operates on auto-pilot?

If you're in the midst of an injury or illness right now, see the blessing that comes with that. Yes, this down time may be the most frustrating thing you've ever experienced, however is this perhaps your chance (time) to get clear again on your life, your dreams, the things that inspire you, those things which wake you up in the morning and have you looking forward with excitement to a new day and the future.

Focusing on these dreams will build up a kinetic energy inside of you that will explode into potential and momentum once you're given that second chance and 'released' back into good health. Not only that, but you'll realize an unexpected bonus - those positive vibrations within you will help speed up your healing process. I know. I've been there. It takes determination and willpower but the payoff is a vibrant and healthy life, lived full.
