Here are a few symptoms that help you do so:- Missed period The first intimation of possible pregnancy can be detected when you miss a period. There are of course many reasons for possible variation in the date of period, but generally it is supposed to occur after 28-32 days of the previous one. In any case, a missed period must be reported to the doctor immediately, followed by tests for pregnancy. In fact, in case the missed period is due to pregnancy, the baby is almost 2-3 weeks older by the time you confirm it. So, the need for extreme care has already initiated. Tender breasts This is a good sign of pregnancy. Since by the time you come to know of the baby’s presence inside is far after the fertilization has been complete, there may be carelessness at these crucial initial weeks. The other way to have an idea about it is tender breasts, which become a bit swollen and itchy. There is a little lingering pain and they also grow in size. Tender breasts are one of the major first signs of pregnancy. Tiredness and sick feeling Due to pregnancy, there are many changes that happen inside the body. The energy requirement is vastly increased as the baby needs the extra energy for growth. Being unaware of the baby, since you do not modify your diet intake, there can be a fall in energy consumption. As a result, you may fall short of energy and feel tired soon. You may start feeling weak and less hungry too. Cramps and aches Due to internal developments, the lower abdomen and the back may start aching frequently. Most of the times they are mistaken as pre-menstrual symptoms, but they may also be due to the onset of pregnancy. This is one of the significant first symptoms of pregnancy. Constipation and skin changes Due to baby growth, the rectal canal may feel pressurized that may cause constipation. Even there can be changes in skin like spotting. These minor first signs of pregnancy also help in detection. As soon as the pregnancy is confirmed, the mother must go into a sedative mode of lifestyle that ensures a relaxed physical and mental state.
