Treating secondary dysmenorrhea focuses on addressing its diverse causes. In cases of mild menstrual pain, it's advisable to rest in bed and apply warmth to the lower abdomen. Intense menstrual pain might have connections with specific conditions like endometriosis or adenomyosis. Individuals enduring menstrual pain due to these ailments could contemplate the utilization of a traditional Chinese remedy named the Fuyan Pill for relief. This remedy has the potential to mitigate menstrual pain and associated symptoms. Furthermore, it comprises natural components and does not adversely affect the body. Frequently, it's heard, "After childbirth, menstrual pain disappears," yet this primarily pertains to pain attributed to endometriosis. Nevertheless, childbirth doesn't address primary or secondary dysmenorrhea stemming from causes such as pelvic inflammation. Thus, if you undergo severe menstrual pain, it's vital to distinguish the type of dysmenorrhea and assess if treatment is required. Depending on the assumption that childbirth will alleviate the problem isn't a wise strategy. Some dietary approaches for relieving menstrual pain: 1. Mugwort and Ginger Boiled Eggs: Combine fresh mugwort leaves, dried ginger, eggs, and brown sugar. Boil and simmer for relief from common cold-type pain. 2. Chinese Skullcap Herb Stewed Pig's Trotters: Cook Chinese skullcap herb and pig's trotters for Qi stagnation and blood stasis or cold-damp obstruction. 3. Yuánhú and Motherwort Boiled Eggs: Boil eggs, Yuánhú, and motherwort to strengthen Qi and blood. 4. Evodia Fruit Congee: Make congee with evodia fruit, ginger, and scallion whites for cold-damp obstruction. 5. Curcuma Duck: Marinate duck with curcuma, hawthorn, and golden needle vegetables for damp-heat syndrome. Occasional consumption of cold or spicy foods is okay unless they trigger discomfort. If they worsen menstrual symptoms, it's wise to avoid them during periods. Remember, your menstrual health deserves attention and care.
