With improving importance it has learned to strike a balance between advertising, marketing, public relations and networking to convey opinions and concepts.
Social media is more of an interactive forum and a means through which individuals communicate and build relations to interact further as per their needs. Companies also look out for their potential customers to enhance the position of their business. As the scope is quite wide, this is the easy available channel to spread the desired information. The matter is flexible, easy to maintain and offer wide opportunities to build relations which may have been absent in other cases.

No one ever wondered the wonder of word of mouth will drive consumerism like this ever before. Millions of people are tweeting, chirping, squeaking, and engaging others too into this virtual world.

Still there are many sectors that are not accepting the change from the world of social media and refuse to participate. But the decision is temporary and soon they will realize the importance of it. They still believe in the popular age old notion that there are no returns on your investments but the results have changed.
