Many women are passionate about 2 things. Fashion and fitness. With the influence of today's media, women have a clearer picture of how they want to look. Women who workout usually aim for a better body but yet there are a lot of women who don't exercise because they find it too difficult or they are afraid of getting manly muscles. There are actually a lot of exercises for women to stay in shape that are simple enough to do, and that can be done at home.
Many women resort to getting a healthy diet to lose weight or to avoid gaining any at all and even though that's great, it's not enough. The important thing that you have to realize is that diet will help but is not the only solution since that is just step one. Women have more than 10 times less hormones to build muscles than men so there's no need to be afraid of working out. Simple toning exercises can help you get the complete body workout you need to get in the shape you want. If you haven't started on a healthy diet, you should if you want to get the body you want.
Once you have your diet in order, you need to do some exercises that can help you lose weight. A simple exercise you can start with are jumping jacks. These are very easy and it improves metabolism which helps speed up weight loss. The key to maximizing this workout is to do it for 1 minute, rest and start again for about 15 to 20 minutes. Another exercise you can do to lose some weight is stair cardio. You can either run or walk up and down the stairs depending on what works for you and you have to do this for just 10 minutes.
When you've shed off some of that extra weight, you can start with toning exercises to give your body more definition. One easy thing you can do are wall push ups. Wall push ups can help tone your arms and are very easy too. You can do this by simply placing your hands on a wall at shoulder level and lean on them slowly and hold the position for 2 seconds. Then push back with your arms and chest. You can do this 10 more times for 2 sets. If you want to add some difficulty to the workout, you can take the push ups to the floor or on an exercise ball. For your abs, a simple exercise you can use is the technique called the vacuum. To do this, just inhale until your lungs are full and then exhale slowly. While you are exhaling, suck your stomach in until you feel your sides tighten and then hold that position for 10 seconds before completely exhaling. You can do squats to tone up your lower body giving you those leaner, sexier legs you want. You can use some light weights for this if you want to but it's not a requirement. Standing straight, with your feet shoulder width apart, bend your knees slowly to an almost sitting position with your thighs parallel to the floor. Hold the position for 3 seconds and return to your position. Do a few more reps and 2 sets.
Remember to add some intensity to your exercise if it starts becoming too easy for you. This will ensure that you get the most out of your workouts and maintain your muscles' tone. Staying fit is something that involves commitment, so for you to get the body that you want, you need to keep your diet healthy and maintain a daily exercise routine. You are the one that holds the key to that sexier, new you.
