The Sweet Stream of Life

When I envision life as one continuous, free flowing stream nothing I encounter comes as a shock. Becoming one with my life, as with nature, I can clearly see the significance of the moss that gathers, the boulders that find their way into my stream of things, and why the rain leaves the water murky yet at the same time creates flow. Each compliments, enlightens, and adds meaning to my life.

The moss being slippery cautions me to slow down and enjoy life for all of its beauty. The boulders teach me that even amidst the raging waters of life there isn't anything that is impossible to accomplish. The rain that clouds the water helps me to understand that everything in life is not always perfectly clear so maybe it's time to take a break, bank it for a while until clarity returns so I can move forward effortlessly. Or in this case I will call it clearity, smile. Seeing the bottom of things enables me to preview what I do not want to tread in, on, or under.

Each of these elements that lie in my path stream bring character, strength, and much wisdom. Without them my path stream would lack beauty, change, and flow. The stream would simply be a body of water that would become stagnate and boring. I welcome the boulders that bring with them wisdom, the moss that cautions me, and the rain to keep my stream flowing in and with abundance.

When in the flow of life the fear of being stuck on the bank subsides. The fear of what is around the next bend on the river of life ceases when you welcome insight and guidance allowing even the hardest downpours to present the transitions smoothly and eloquently. Take a mental picture of your life stream. Hold that vision and examine the clearity of the stream. Can you see where you are going? Can you see the bottom clearly? Does your life flow effortlessly?

Can you see the moss and relate it to healing, slowing you for a positive reason or do you look at it as just slipping and falling not being able to advance in life with ease? Do you find boulders that bring beauty and wisdom or do you see them as an obstacle that inhibits the flow of growth and understanding? Does the rain allow things to flow more freely or do you see it as being blinding and keeping you stuck? As the old saying goes into each life a little rain must fall. However, it's how we react to the sudden rains that bring the beauty to each stream of life.

Everyone has his or her own way of envisioning life but one thing that remains constant is the choice we have to make it a beautiful journey of love, peace, growth, and understanding. Each vision while unique as the next is one of cleansing, purifying, teaching, learning and caressing life with each stroke. It's about being in the flow of life. It's about giving birth to your intentions while submerging yourself into the sweet stream of life. nnn
