There are a variety different conservatory types from Gazebo and Victorian to Georgian and Edwardian conservatories. Victorian The Victorian conservatory style includes an apex roof with 5 sides or more. The Victorian age produced some of the most impressive conservatory designs and in recent years, Victorian conservatories have seen a massive resurgence in popularityrnThere are a couple of different variations of the Victorian conservatory: 3 Facet Victorian has 3 windows on the bay front and has wide angles for maximum space. The style is ideal for the majority of locations. Victorian 5 Facet includes a rounded structure with a period profile and the bay front contains 5 windows. This style offers an excellent combination of classic appearance and large space. rnGazebosrnThis style of conservatory are commonly used to provide shading and rest, and feature a small roof. They can let in plenty of light and air due to their ornamental garden pavilion.rnGeorgian AgernGeorgian conservatories typically feature a flat front and a square or rectangular symmetrical shape. Along with Edwardian conservatories, they contain less pronounced lines then the Victorian style. These conservatories are ideal for letting in plenty of light and air due to their sloping roof which also produces a spectacular vaulted effect.rnFirst produced in the 18th century, Georgian conservatories were originally made to store and protect plants during the harsh winters. This type of conservatory became a common fixture in large Georgian mansions after being introduced in the British Empire at around the 18th century.rnSunroom StylernThese conservatories typically have a polycarbonate roof for increased insulation and controlling light flow. They are ideal suited for hot, sunny regions and feature a unique architectural style. Furthermore, they usually have multi-locks mechanisms on the doors for increased security and feature beautifully framed windows. rnEdwardian Edwardian conservatories are characterised by a large, spacious square or rectangular floor which often makes them more practical than the Victorian conservatories. Edwardian conservatories can be built in a range of unique styles all of which feature the typical Edwardian convectional style. Using low level brickwork to add texture to the design is very popular and solid panels fitted to the lower levels can be used to great effect. A popular design for Edwardian conservatories is to use full height glass panes on the sides and double hipped roofs for extra height, provided it does not exceed the highest wall of the main property.
