3 Effective Time Management Tips -Your Time Equals Your Money! I am a natural born time waster, effective TimernManagement doesn't come easily to me! I would love it if I could waste hours every day.rnIn fact, I would go as far as to say that it's one of the things I'm best at. It's not that I want to waste time, or that I am deliberately lazy, it's more that I have lots to daydream about, I'm easily distracted and I hate being told what to do. Who doesn't? Unfortunately, I've been unable to find a way to earn a living from my love of doing nothing in particular, so I've become very good at self motivation and avoiding procrastination. When I say these are my top tips, believe me they are tried and tested! 3 tips for Effective Time Management

1. Reward yourself for getting the job done, by allowingrnyourself to do something you'd normally distract yourself with. When I don't want to do a job, suddenly everything else becomes more appealing -doing the washing, reading, checking Twitter, the list goes on. So tell yourself you'll work for an hour (or even two!) and get that one particular job done, then do whatever you like. Even if it's only 5 minutes of whatever you like, you'll feel better for having got your "unpleasant"task done first.

1. Prepare yourself so you're ready to get on with the job. If you set yourself the expectation that first thing in the morning you'll get up and go for a run, then it will be easier to do it than if you wake up and think "What shall I do today?"Make sure you have a clear space to work, mess can be very distracting as you can give yourself the excuse to tidy it, or find something to fiddle with.

1. Be clear about your priorities, vagueness is the enemy of effective time management! If you aren't 100% focussed on what exactly you need to do, then you will find it very easy not to do it. If I'm not clear about what blog to write, it can take me all day to decide, I can read hundreds of other articles looking for inspiration, go for long walks and visit the library, all in the name of research. Whereas if I say, "today I'm going to write about "howrnto blog effectively", then I only have one topic to research and I can be done very quickly.

And it should be that simple! So if you're supposed to be working now and you've been reading this article, as a way of wasting a bit of time, or putting off a job you needrnto do, move on!
