Turning visitors to your website into customers is even tougher than getting them to your site in the first place. So how does a company keep people interested enough to stay on their website and further more purchase from them. Maximising impact of every email can be done if you follow these rules. Effective links in your mail is vital. Well placed and easy links should be used. A Link should never take more than 30 seconds to find. A page concerning the marketing campaign in the email should be the landing spot for when the link is clicked. If not they will have to navigate themselves from the home or product page to find the campaign page. Will result in annoyed visitors who dont stay on your website. The company therefore looses potential customers. rnCreating an effective landing page is extremely important in turning your visitors into customers. To make the marketing campaign more effective the landing pages and marketing email need to be relatively the same. They should match visually with regards to colour, text, graphics etc. The offer/discount in email should also match what is offered on the landing page otherwise visitors are left confused. There should be as little information as possible on the landing page. It should contain details of the current marketing campaign along with further links for other parts of the website. The page should only contain merchandise that is offered in campaign. Adding more merchandise leads to bewilderment. Options available for visitors should be only to buy or search the website. Visitors making purchases would meet a campaigns objectives. Although further exploration of the website can lead to future purchases. The undesired result is for visitors to click away from the landing page. This may happen due to the inability of the customer to use your website properly. It should also be user friendly meaning all the links and buttons must be self-explanatory and must do what they are supposed to do. The amount of people coming back to your site will be reduced if your website is not easy to use. A well made marketing email and website reflect on how efficient and well run the company is. Optimising your site to attract customers and more importantly keeping them on it is an important step in getting the most out of your website. Every business needs to be involved in making sure that their website is positioned correctly to take advantage of customers needs and requirements. The website should be set up and designed in a easy to use manner, but allowing the users to follow the actions you want them to take. In this way, you can start to improve your conversion rates and increase sales. Companies simply can't afford to miss out on this opportunity to increase revenue. You can be sure that if you're not doing it, your competitors will be!
