Electricity and Natural Gas Services - Energy Deregulation - Stream Energy
The Power of Entrepreneurship
Energy deregulation is one of the most popular new businesses for companies and entrepreneurs. States across the country are deregulating their energy markets, which is creating an opportunity for entrepreneurs to offer alternative options to consumers in those markets.
Energy deregulation is not available in every state or market yet but the movement is becoming very obvious across the U.S. In regulated states, a handful of big companies and corporations typically deliver energy to customers, not offering any choice of where customers can buy their electricity and natural gas services.
This is similar to the telecommunications deregulation phenomenon that occurred roughly 41 years ago. The Supreme Court ruled in 1968 on a case that made it possible for entrepreneurs and businesses to break into the telecommunications business. Many entrepreneurs and new businesses made millions.
One of the major differences between the telecommunications and energy deregulation opportunities is the money of the markets. When the telecommunications business deregulated it was considered an $81 billion dollar a year commerce. The energy industry however is much larger today and estimated to be approximately a $545 billion dollar a year commerce.
Therefore for entrepreneurs the energy deregulation that is going on across the U.S. in many states represents a sort of gold rush. If entrepreneurs can market electricity and natural gas and retain customers for a long time there is much money to be made. The residual income from this kind of business is a tremendous opportunity for entrepreneurs.
Another striking feature is the opportunity to get into the energy market on the ground floor. The exciting thing for many consumers is that they have never had the opportunity before to choose from whom to buy their electricity and natural gas energy service.
This is an exciting time in the industry and one that offers entrepreneurs endless possibilities if they market the product right and retain the customers they gather. Entrepreneurs are typically good with talking to people, hard working and determined individuals. These traits are the recipe for success in the network marketing of energy. As always, do your due diligence with research when choosing a company to join.
