Technology has the changed the life of human beings and we all are aware of the good things that technology has provided to us, but very little is known about the ill effects of technology. When we speak about technology it includes everything right from the mobile phone you use it and the Wi-Fi used to connect to your laptop and many other things. Twenty years ago we were not even aware of mobile phone or a cordless phone and the topic about Wi-Fi never existed but now things are exactly the reverse. We are completely dependent on technology to even meet our basic daily needs. There is no doubt that technology is great because it has simplified our life but how many of us are aware that it also uses electromagnetic fields to make it work and that more and more people are beginning to ask questions about the possible adverse health consequences of these Electromagnetic fields. Much of the debate majorly revolves around cell phone usage among the masses. Electromagnetic fields and radiation are created naturally and is a direct result of man made electricity. They are a combination of electricity created by voltage and a magnetic field created by the current. But due to the ever expanding developments in the field of technology, we are now living in a sea of electronic pollution. Numerous landmark researches have demonstrated that chronic exposure to man made electromagnetic fields and radiation can lead to drastic changes in the normal growth pattern of human cells and can certainly damage the cell’s DNA. When you consider that the egg and sperm are in actual fact one type of cell in the body and an embryo is a bundle of rapidly dividing cells; the potential damages occurring from these electromagnetic pollution can’t be ignored and specially on the fertility of man and women. When we discuss about the possible effects of these Electromagnetic radiation especially on the male fertility, it was seen that sperm cells are very vulnerable to damage by radiation. According to a study conducted at a clinic in Ohio, it was seen that exposed semen to mobile phone radiation frequency at a distance of 2-5cm [typical distance between the testes and pants pocket resulted into increase in damaging free radicals lower sperm motility and a much reduced ratio of live sperm. In yet another study conducted on male sperm donors, it was concluded that those men who had the greatest daily level of electromagnetic exposure, had a two fold increase risk of abnormal sperm motility and morphology. Only a few days ago, the World Health Organization, proclaimed that cell phones were possibly carcinogenic. They have publicly stated that as little as 30 minutes per day on a cell phone could have adverse health consequences. When the topic shifts to Female fertility, an experiment was conducted among female rats to know the level of damage electromagnetic pollution can produce. As expected by the researchers it was revealed that these radiations had an adverse effect on the rat’s ovary follicles, uterus lining and decreased the amount of cilia in their fallopian tubes. Decreased level of cilia means that the fertilized egg cannot be moved to the uterus as cilia plays an important role in movement of these eggs.In a study of pregnant women it was found that the women who used microwave producing devices during their pregnancy, had a 47.7% miscarriage rate compared to 14.5% of the non exposed women. This itself reveals the severe damage that electromagnetic radiations can produce. We understand and except that it is impossible for us to completely avoid exposure to electronic pollution unless we live in a dessert like area with no electricity or mobile coverage. So, the best remedy to this is that we can take some small measures to reduce our level of exposure. In particular we can aim to keep our bedrooms as electronic pollution free as possible, so that our bodies get a break from constant exposure for at least 6-8 hours a day. Other drugs like Generic Viagra, Online Kamagra are also recommended as these cheap online drugs will enhance your sexual energies and make you feel better.
