It has been clearly observed that email marketing programs can positively affect marketing process and boost sales for a company. A recent survey conducted by a firm outlines that there is a return on investment of around $50 for each dollar that is spent on direct email marketing. But still there are two questions which have been lurking around. The two questions are: 'Which are the key components essential to convert emails into successful sales? and How should an email marketing software be used to achieve amazing ROI'? The foremost goal that needs to be achieved is to influence people so that they open the mail sent by you. Let us take an example, your audience is already tempted and impressed by your campaign and opens your email. The email contains all of the necessary details about a company and its products which the receiver might be interested in. Now, where would you want to see readers getting diverted from your email? It has to end up at your website so that the sales process can be achieved.
rnA lot of marketers use bold 'call to action' in their campaigns which directly instructs the recipients regarding the next move to be taken. Some include direct phrases such as 'click here now' or 'click to buy now' and some include passive call to action phrases like 'learn more' or 'click for more information'. You need to select an appropriate method that suits your customer list. Since no one can offer guarantee as to which method will work so you need to test the methods for yourself and see which works better. The biggest challenge is to make recipients click on the link that you have offered so that they make purchases from your company. It is the landing page or ROI page where you would want to see your receivers going. It is not necessary that the landing page needs to direct to your website's home page. Marketing professionals have observed that for the 'landing page' a page that is customized to suit the needs of the campaign serves best results. Although home page has every detail and information that a visitor would want, yet a customized page meant to fulfill the campaign's requirements is the best bet! The only drawback about keeping home page as the landing page is that it has too much of information which can be distracting for visitors. This could hamper or obstruct the sales process, hence a loss for your company.
