Email has been used in marketing for over a decade. Not all the companies could use this tool properly. Surprisingly, there were still many bad and terrible emails they we received.

In fact we could do email marketing better; there are a shortlist about common points in abhorrent or bad emails.
The first kind of failed email marketing: all the emails are the same.

Most people do not want to wear same clothes, why the marketing staff thought that an email could meet the requirements of all the subscribers? The emails are not targeting on any group and not tailor made. Although the marketing staff have spend so much in drafting the content of the emails but the emails contain a lot of information which cost readers too much time reading through.
There is a better way to make an email to inquire subscribers’ interest and their conce
s and make a list on different interest groups. For example: When the subscribers received the email, you could propose a questionnaire to investigate what kind of topics they are favored or how long the subscribers want to receive such marketing emails. According to their different needs and interest, the marketing staff should make adjustment on the email content. It seems that such groups who show their interest and needs may be a small group, but they are very eager to receive marketing emails with high loyalty in your offer.
