Should my employer know if I have a Scottish trust?

It is very unlikely that you will lose your job if your employers know this, as this would not affect your ability to do your job at most companies. If you were in one of the professions listed above or in a trusted position or have a responsibility for money management, it would be wise to speak confidentially with someone at your job so that you can get advice on the most appropriate options. Debt can affect anyone, including police officers, firefighters and prison guards, so your employer must have faced the situation first and be able to give you advice on your trust deed.
If you believe that your employer does not allow you to engage in any form of insolvency, there must be a special "clause" clause in your employment contract.
