However, thanks to the FLIP project, more and more young people are now learning to create their own opportunities thanks to social projects which instil a lot of confidence in them. It actually stands for Future Leaders In Philanthropy and gives people the opportunity to strive to be our future leaders and ensure today’s talent will be the stars of tomorrow in business.

This includes realising the importance of charity and students are encouraged to get involved in social projects.In addition to this, this scheme is a joint venture between one of the leading financial banks of the world called Credit Suisse and the Bonita Trust. It targets those who are aged between 16 and 19 years of age and provides students the aims and objectives to give something back to the community

As far as the overall aims of Future Leaders In Philanthropy are concerned these include raising awareness among students and making them aware of their social duty, motivate students to get involved more in charity projects as well as informing students regarding the ins and outs of how charities work.

Besides these types of particular projects, this company is also involved in organising a number of Corporate Fundraising events.This featured a previous function that was organised for the Happy Faces Charitable Trust. This encouraged Corporate Fundraising for those who are suffering from different chronic illnesses.

It all took place at the Savannah Lounge, Ocean Village and was put together by one of the students. The quiz was a huge success and featured a number of exciting groups which performed for the guest’s entertainment.This included Dulcie Edwards of Mediterranean Dance Group and an incredible performance from Urban Dance.

After the last round of questions, guests were allowed the chance to relax and sample the tunes of Lathan Norton and Georgia Thursting.The proud winners of the quiz went to PartyGaming who were of course jubilant. The amount was phenomenal which was raised and resulted in the £2,000 being reached.

The total amount raised on the night was £2,853 which went to the Happy Faces Charitable Trust. This company have done a wide variety of projects and schemes which have helped a number of charities across the globe.

As they are based in Gibraltar they have raised a lot of money for other projects that are based here. This features Association for Kids in Need, A Pathway through Pain, Breast Cancer Support Gibraltar

The Calpe House Charitable Trust, Cat Welfare Society, Childline Gibraltar and many more.They have supported a number of charities which have long term problems and need support not to mention the issues being made aware by such serious diseases. This includes Alzheimer’s which is now becoming an increasingly serious issue across the world.
