Hello! How are you? It’s been a very long time, I know. I apologize. I’d love to know how you are. I’d love to hear from you.
All is well with me, and I hope it is with you. These years have abounded in opportunities and challenges…. and who knows what 2022 will bring?! What I do know is that the more we build our inner center the more it will support us in addressing whatever comes.
Here’s an Exercise for You:
As we face the last days of 2021 and the birth of 2022, this exercise will help you clarify your intentions, build your imagination, develop your intuition and more. Take a look.
You may want to do this with others, or by yourself. Buy yourself a beautiful journal so you can take notes.
Then, just imagine you are sitting around a fireplace with a group of friends, probably on Zoom-- or, you may want to do it alone in your home. Find a private, quiet space, somewhere you can be with yourself.
Just Imagine . . ..
It’s NOW December 31, 2022. The year has come and gone. What kind of year was it for you? How much did you love? How much did you follow your heart?
How much did you hear, or listen, to your voice? How much were you able to let go of control and feel safe. How much did you learn to live with uncertainty? How much did you play? Did you get healthier because you were so committed to self-care? What opportunities do you regret not taking? What did you learn deeply?
Now you’ve spent some time writing in your journal. If you are with friends, you have an opportunity to share what you wrote. As you share, your friends are listening to you compassionately and with kindness.
If you are alone, you’ve written into your journal all that came to you throughout the year. You are now being self-compassionate as you read and reflect on the year that has passed.
Then, you put your journal away and take it out in a year from now, on December 31, 2022, and read it again.
Happy Holy Days...
and every day is holy.

Looking ahead to the New Year and how you expect it to unfold, can be tempting to get absorbed in whatever is currently trending, or whatever is “doom-ing and gloom-ing” at the moment. But if, on the contrary, you find you are living someone else’s life via trending, or depressed and distressed by

I have a new cell phone. I didn’t want a new cell phone; I was perfectly happy with my 2020 cell phone, but it wasn’t happy with me. Its connector charging port was ailing. Failing, actually, the service tech told me. And besides, it was an old phone, what did I expect? Old? This to a woman who is more than content, read “thrilled,” to wear outdated fashions just because she likes them. And would willingly keep computers way past their supposed “shelf life.” Sigh. OK, fine,
