Endoscopy is termed as a medical process where a fiber optic light is used along with a tiny camera. The tool that is used is passed through a small incision that is done in the patient’s body like the anus or the mouth so that the doctor can see the different organs present in the body clearly. The camera will then show the images in a large screen for better visualization purposes. It allows the doctor to view the different parts of the body in a more clear and precise manner.
In this process of endoscopy it also helps the doctor to take some biopsies for future testing and it can help in performing different surgical procedures. Endoscopy helps the surgeon to transform the way he can perform the duties. Endoscopic surgery can be done in some specialized hospitals like it can also be done in Cardiac Hospitals in India that will offer you both the services.
This surgery can be performed in different ways as it can be done with different instruments like the scissors and forceps. This can be done in the viewing area where there can be an incision. While the surgery is being performed the surgeon has a cutting tool that is present inside the tube where the ligament is cut to release the pressure present in the nerve as that would cause pain as well as some restricted movement.
There are a lot of surgeries where the method of endoscopy is used like breast augmentation, face lifts and tummy tucks. Sinus and neurological surgery like the brain tumor removal, spinal fluid that is present in the brain and the intracranial cysts can also be used as the tool. There are some different types of surgeries that would help in using the instrument in a better manner.
The laparoscopic surgery can be used to perform different procedures in the pelvic area or the stomach and colonoscopy can be used for large intestines. Endoscopic surgery would cause some risks too as they are quiet alike from any other kind of surgery. It would also cause some infection and some adverse reaction when common anesthesia is given. This would also lead to slight nerve risk, blood or tendon vessel damage.
