Energized or Exhausted… Which are You?

Have you noticed how people seem to move in one of two directions in life? There are those who feel exhausted most of the time, including upon waking. Then there are those who seem almost superhuman. They wake up energized, have a very full day, yet, they are not dragging by day’s end. Sure, they do slow down a bit, but they don’t have a major dip in their energy.

In today’s fast-paced world, it seems the majority of people fall into the “exhausted” camp. Drinking cup after cup of coffee, energy drinks, or even popping energy pills, they do what they can to get through the day.

Upon careful examination, the reasons become clear.

“You are what we eat,” can be traced back to Anthelme Brillat-Savarin in 1826.

A very true statement. Actually, you are what you eat, drink, think and watch. When it comes to food though, consumption quality has dramatically decreased in the last few decades.

One of the main culprits is processed sugar. With the rise in the amount of processed sugar people consume, it’s no wonder people are dragging through the day.

According to New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services, “Today, the average American consumes almost 152 pounds of sugar in one year. This is equal to 3 pounds (or 6 cups) of sugar consumed in one week! Nutritionists suggest that Americans should get only 10% of their calories from sugar. This equals 13.3 teaspoons of sugar per day (based on 2,000 calories per day). The current average is 42.5 teaspoons per day!”

Food will support our energy, acting as fuel to support a busy lifestyle. Conversely, food can slow us down and diminish our energy base.

Science has proven that we are energetic beings, meaning we are each full of vigorous energy particles. Our body and each of our trillions of cells are made of pure energy. Food is also made of energy particles, and the energy from food is our body’s fuel.

Making healthy choices isn’t always easy. There are plenty of temptations at every turn. Whether it be fast foods, conveniences foods, sugar laden choices or just eating on the go, the nutritional wellbeing for most adults is sub-par.

As a result, people gain weight, feel sluggish and have minimal energy, primarily based on food choices.

Add to this the unrealistic demands on our appearance and we have become a very unhealthy people.

For some, the social pressure to eat unhealthy foods is more than they know how to handle. For others, it has to do with their refusal to take responsibility for their own choices.

Yet, there are those who are tired of living a less than stellar life. They crave having the energy to live a life filled with fun activities. By fun activities, I’m not talking about plopping down on the couch, downing a large pizza with a bottle of soda, followed by a bag of chips, topped off with donuts or cupcakes for desert.

Imagine a stellar life. What does that mean to you? A stellar life is one where you wake up energized, have balanced energy throughout the day, feel good after a day at the office or school and have plenty of energy left over for your family and friends.

A life where you crave healthy food choices void of the word diet. A life where you are living with so much energy, passion, health and vibrancy, people wonder what your secret is.

The secret? Decide right here, right now, you will NEVER DIET AGAIN! Rather, decide to eat healthy choices according to your Food Codes. That’s right, you have your own food codes.

In my book, The Food Codes, I show you exactly how to determine the foods that are best for you. Keep in mind, what is good for your body may be different from what is good for your spouse.

I have a client who discovered bananas were great for her spouse, but not so great for her at that particular time. She made the discovery through her own food codes.

Once you make the decision to eat healthy, your other choices will be better choices for a healthy lifestyle.

Ready to feel energized and live an energized life from this point forward? Then you’re ready to discover your very own Food Codes.
