We usually hear people saying I am exhausted, I have no energy left, My mind is blocked, I am not able to find any solution to my problems, I feel passive, etc. So, what exactly is energy and why do people feel this way? rnEnergy can be either physical or mental. Energy is a kind of strength we need to perform any task. For example, if we don’t have enough energy, we would not be able to strategize or perform tasks smartly in this busy life. rnSo, where does this energy comes from? Is there any external source that supplies it to us? No, it doesn’t come from anywhere outside. We are already granted with abundant energy. rnParam Pujya Dada Bhagwan says,” There is infinite energy within you. Whatever you think within, the very same thing will happen on the outside for you!” rnAs a human, we have the ability to choose whether to use our energy constructively or destructively. Let’s see few examples on how we use our energy in a destructive way: 1.Having a conflict with someone due to difference of opinion, or when the other person is not meeting our expectations, etc.rn2.Holding onto our frustrations, hatred, dislikes and mental distress.rn3.Overthinking about future and not letting go our past bitter experiences.rn4.Constantly self-judging and comparing ourselves with others on how successful or unsuccessful we are.rn5.Self-negativity and inferiority complex.rn6.Expressing anger on small, irrelevant things.rn7.Seeing negative in others and gossiping about it.rn8.Planning to harm or inflict loss to others.rn9.Lying about something and once caught, entering into viscous cycle of other bunch of lies to cover the original lie.rn10.Spending too much time on electronic gadgets and social media.rn11.Spending time and energy on buying unnecessary things.rnIt takes away a lot of energy in doing anything that is harmful to others or to our own self. As a result, we feel agitated and unhappy. Then why not use energy in a way that is beneficial to us and others too? So come, let’s now see how we can use our energy in a constructive way: 1.We can do so by adjusting with people and thereby avoid conflict. For example, if during night time, someone comes up and says, ‘It is daytime’, we can reveal the fact that ‘it is night’ once. But if the other person insists that ‘It is daytime for sure’, then we can accept it and say, ‘Yes, you are right’, and thus avoid any further argument.rn2.Pujya Dadashri says, ’Whatever has happened is Justice’. If we understand and accept this fact, then there will not remain any need to blame anybody for anything whatsoever; and we will not harness any hatred or grudges too against anybody.rn3.We are sure and relaxed knowing the fact that everyone of us is so different in our own unique way, that there cannot be any comparison amongst us.rn4.Every situation that we comes across, we look at its positive aspect rather than getting into negativity such as ‘I cannot do it’, or blaming the situation that ‘why is it like this?’, etc.rn5.We use our potential in building or planning something that is helpful to everyone rather than being a couch potato and wasting time on social media and electronic gadgets. Doesn’t matter even if it’s a very small thing, but is helpful to everyone.rn6.Serving selflessly those who are in need or for some great cause.rn7.Staying physically active by doing regular exercises.rn8.Using our intellect to find effective solutions for problems before us, rather than for picking holes in the work done by somebody. Param Pujya Dadashri says, “There is tremendous energy in the word ‘yes’ and tremendous weakness in the word ‘no’”. rnIf we say we are strong enough, so we will be. If we say ‘no, I am weak’, we will be weak. So, let’s use our energy in a productive way rather than wasting it. rnWe can experience the infinite energy and infinite bliss lying within us by attaining Self- Realization from Gnani Purush, the Enlightened One. Gnani has infinite energies manifested within Him; so even if we recall Him, we will instantly gain those energies! rnPlease visit https://www.dadabhagwan.org/path-to-happiness/self-help/positive-thinking/

Instead of living in the moment, we live for the most part in our minds, cluttered with thoughts. These thoughts are in fact part of our memories from the past. These memories are either pleasant or unpleasant, depending upon whether we had a like or dislike towards them when they occured. For example, instead of enjoying the holiday you have been looking forward to, you spend most of your time thinking about your work whilst on holiday. You cannot fully relax and appreciate
