Nothing else can make a woman happier when compared to pregnancy. A woman may achieve great heights in her professional and social life and she may enjoy these successes from time to time as they are achieved. As the time passes the celebration for these successes dilutes but if we consider the celebration of pregnancy, it actually gets amplified as it progresses. With pregnancy comes little extra responsibility over the shoulders of the mother as now she is not carrying herself but also a new life in her foetus. Therefore extreme care needs to be taken in order to have a safe delivery. Although the care is required throughout the pregnancy period but maximum care is required in the 9th and the 10th week. Following are some of the steps that should be followed while a mother is in the respective weeks:- 1. 9th Week Pregnancy 2. Progress in Baby When a mother is 9 weeks pregnant the baby is as small as a peanut. The most important thing in this period is the positioning of the baby. The head of the baby is more likely to be erect and neck starts developing. If ultrasound is done during this period crystal clear movement of the foetus can be seen but it may be too early to feel it. - Physical Changes Some physical changes also take place in the mother’s body. The waist line thickens because of the normal expansion of the uterus. Although the physical changes occur but at this stage it would not be visible to others. Therefore it is you only who has to give this good news to the rest. - Weight gain Is not much during this period if one has cravings, indigestion, nausea, aversions of food, bloating which are common during this period. - Tip Drink plenty of water and make sure that the calcium level is maintained through right kind of food. • 10th Week Pregnancy - Progress in Baby The foetus now looks like a baby with slightly grown limbs which are bending at knees and elbows. - Physical Changes Although the size increases but still it is not noticeable. One may feel comfortable in loose clothes. In order to people celebrate the 10th week with you; unfortunately you will have to spread the good news as they themselves cannot see what start feeling during at this point of time. - Tip Start the shopping for maternity bras to feel comfortable. Eat nutritious food in small intervals because lethargy and tiredness may start hitting you at this point of time. Also mood swings may happen, so try and remain cool and unnecessarily don’t involve yourself into any kind of problems.
