Holiday parties are a great way for employers to show their workers they appreciate them. While many companies hold their holiday parties in the winter, it’s always a nice surprise for employees when their employer throws them an impromptu celebration for other holidays such as the Fourth of July or Memorial Day. If you’re in the midst of planning a party for your company, you’ve probably got a lot on your mind. After all, one must think about the location, the menu and décor. However, you should also be thinking about what or whom you’re going to provide as entertainment. A Chicago wedding band? A comedian? A magician? Since many companies allow workers to bring a guest, it’s nice to provide some sort of entertainment for both your employees and their guests who won’t know anyone else at the party. Here are a couple of ideas:
Comedian: Comedians have a way of brightening up a room. There is no better way for people to bond than over laughter. Cheer up your crowd and lighten the mood with a well-known comedian from Chicago. Just be sure you check out their act before you recruit them to be sure it’s appropriate for your company and won’t offend any of your employees.
Speaker: Having a keynote speaker at your holiday party will not only provide entertainment, but could also be very inspirational. At any company, but particularly a start-up one, moving a crowd with a success story often gives employees the push they need to keep their heads held high. Rouse motivation through a carefully selected speaker.
Magician: Magicians aren’t just for an 8-year-old’s birthday party anymore! Recruiting a magician who puts on a great act can be one of the most entertaining attractions at a holiday party. Around Chicago, there are many entertainers, including magicians who have been doing this kind of thing for years.
Chicago wedding band: Hiring a great band will surely get people on their feet and dancing. Many of Chicago’s best talents are ones that play in wedding bands in Chicago. Check out some of the local talent and see if you can hire a Chicago wedding band to play at your event as most of these types of bands perform at more than just weddings.
So don’t forget the entertainment portion of your holiday party! With the right act, whether it is a wedding band in Chicago or an inspirational speaker, your employees are sure to have a great time!
