Virtually every business uses standard #10 letter envelopes to one extent or another. They’re a staple in every office. Now, think about your printed envelopes. They’ve got your company name and return address and maybe your company logo, right? And all they do is get your letters or invoices and statements from your office to your client’s, right?
Did you know that envelope printing can turn your humble letter envelopes into a marketing tool?
Consider this... All envelopes have two sides – the front and the back. The front is where your return addresses, etc. is printed. But think about all of the advertising space that’s going to waste on the back. That’s right, on the back! It's the perfect space for printing a logo.
Take a moment to think about how envelopes are opened. Everyone turns the envelope over so that they can slide their thumb or finger under the flap of the envelope to open it. That means that the recipient of the letter has to look at the back! Now, look at your current envelope. It’s completely blank. By simply using a printed envelope you can get your brand in front of people. Otherwise, that’s a waste of prime advertising real estate!
The back of your envelope is the perfect spot to print something about your company, your services or your products. If you’re an attorney, list all of the types of cases or litigation that your firm specializes in. If you’re an accountant, list your services like tax preparation, tax planning, financial planning, etc. Are you a landscaper? Tell everyone about your other services like landscaping design, lawn care, leaf removal, and so on with envelope printing.. No matter what kind of business you’re in, you probably offer more products or services than the ones that your clients or customers are buying or using. TELL THEM!
Here’s another idea…
Put some sort of offer on the back of your envelope. If you’re a real estate agent or broker, offer a free competitive analysis of the recipient’s property. If you’re an insurance agent, offer a free rate quote. Whatever your offer is, it’s probably something that you already offer anyway so promote it!
Think of it this way – the back of your envelope is like a mini-billboard. It’s advertising and it’s in a spot where people have to ready it. And when you order a minimum of 2,500 envelopes from The Mines Press, we’ll print the back of your envelopes for FREE! That’s right. You get all of that extra advertising impact and it won’t cost you a penny more! It’s a free service that only The Mines Press offers.
So stop wasting all of that valuable advertising space. Add a message to the back of your envelopes and give them added impact.
