Erlotinib Medicine (Erlonat)
Erlotinib Medicine Anti Cancer medicine is used in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer and pancreatic cancer. Pancreatic Cancer Erlonat in combination with gemcitabine is indicated for the first-line treatment of patients with locally advanced, unresectable or metastatic pancreatic cancer.

You should continue to take it as long as your doctor advises it. The duration of treatment varies according to your needs and response to treatment. Your doctor may advise for regular monitoring of liver function while you’re taking this medicine. It is advisable to avoid smoking while taking Erlonat 150 Tablet as it makes the medicine ineffective and requires dose adjustment.

Women who are undergoing treatment should use effective contraception methods. It is important to avoid pregnancy during the treatment and for a month after completing the course of medicine. This medicine may make your skin more sensitive to the sun, so it is better to use sunscreen and protective clothing when outdoors. Diarrhoea may occur as its side effects, so drink plenty of fluids. But, you must inform the doctor if it does not stop or you find blood in stools. In case you develop ulceration in the mouth, changes in your vision, or breathing difficulties than it is better to inform the doctor.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it.

HOW ERLONAT TABLET WORKS
Erlonat 150 Tablet is an anti-cancer medication. Epidermal growth factor receptors (EGFR) are expressed on the lung cancer cell surfaces that modulate their growth. This is how it restricts further growth of the cancer cells.
