Educational sector in Pakistan has faced many ups and downs due to instability in economy and less funding in education from the government sector. Hamdard University is working since 1991 to education Pakistani youth. It has evolved to its current form with 7 faculties offering more than 42 types of degrees and certificates. This university has a main campus in Karachi with other branches present at Islamabad and other parts of Karachi. Many related hospitals, law, business, pharmacy and IT institutes are affiliated with Hamdard University Karachi. With a W ranking from HEC of Pakistan it is among the top Pakistani Universities fulfilling all the criteria for establishing a university. It is focused to provide highly innovative courses, with best teaching faculties to more than five thousand students. The student to teacher ratio for each class is about 1:11 which is exceptionally better than any other university. It is a well focused institute with quality services and its student population is expected to increase. Bahria University Karachi on the other hand, is a semi government university, which is specifically established for the children of naval personals. This, however, also provides services to the public sector, with not very big but highly equipped campuses, located at Islamabad and Karachi. The University started its journey in 1995 by starting a computer and business courses for intermediate students and grew up to the standard of University in, February 2000. The main departments of university include a Management Science Department, Department of Engineering, Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Department f Graduate Studies and Applied Sciences, Department of Law, Department of Marine Sciences, Medical and Dental Department and Institute of Professional Psychology.rnThe departments have specialized faculties to educate and groom students in mental, moral, and professional aspects.
