What is Event Management?
Event Management as a career field requires aspirants to conceptualise, plan and organise an event which can be a political rally, an award show, exhibition, fashion show etc. As part of organising an event, one needs to identify the target audience, decide the theme for the event, plan logistics and send invites for the event being organised.

Event Management Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who wish to secure admission in event management courses offered at colleges/universities at the UG level should have cleared their 10+2 from a recognised institute with a minimum aggregate of 45%. Most colleges also specify that candidates need to be fluent in Hindi as well as English if they wish to pursue event management course.
On the other hand, in order to be eligible to secure admission in PG courses offered in the field of event management aspirants should be graduates from recognised institutes such that they have received passing marks at the graduation level. Candidates from any stream can pursue a PG level course in Event Management, however, aspirants with a mass communication background would be preferred.
