Obesity is caused due to numerous reasons. We will talk here about the interconnection between overeating and obesity. Abnormal feeding habit, in the long run, leads to obesity. The time gap and urge of eating is generally regulated by the number of nutrients that the body can store. When the nutrient storage reaches the age limit, urge for eating is reduced automatically. This mainly happens to put a stop to over storage. However, the above phenomenon is not true for people who are obese. This is because, in obese people, the process of feeding is not reduced until their body weight is above the normal level. Thus, it can be stated that obesity is mainly caused by the abnormal behavior of the feeding control mechanism.

What leads to overeating?

Once we have known that excessive eating and obesity is linked with one another, let us now concentrate on the issue-what leads to overeating? Seasoned health specialists are of the opinion that the excessive urge of eating is mainly controlled by two factors- Psychogenic factors Hypothalamic anomalies Psychogenic factors –Research have indicated that a good portion of obesity is the result of psychogenic factors. The most heard about factor is the common perception that healthy feeding habit means three filling meals in a day. From a tender age, many people are forced to adopt this habit by overly concerned parents and they keep on practicing the same throughout their life. Moreover, in the young stage, people tend to put on a huge amount of weight due to several mental loss like the death of near and dear ones, a fatal illness, and even depression and mental trauma. Often such people are of the opinion that eating helps them to release the excess tension. Hypothalamic anomalies – The regulation of our eating process is generally controlled by the hypothalamus, the higher central position of our brain. An abnormal damage in the mid-ventral nuclei of our brain’s hypothalamus leads to excessive eating urge in an animal. As a result, it becomes obese. Studies have shown that this abnormal damage is linked to the production of excess insulin, which results in deposition of extra fat in the body. Sometimes people suffer from progressive obesity as hypo physical tumors tend to impinge on the hypothalamus. Thus, it can be easily stated that impairment of the hypothalamus leads to human obesity.

Get remedy in comfort foods

Obese people are always trying to get hold of handy remedies that can help them get back their problem free body. To such individuals, it is suggested to find comfort in some means of activity other than eating. Even if you feel like eating, stay away from your favorite mac and cheese and sip a cup of soothing tea. To forget about the feeling of hunger, you can try to engage yourself in searching for your favorite book in the library. Try to do something that is not related to food or eating. Another easy means is to stay away from fatty foods and indulge in consuming some healthy food that is comforting. For example, you can keep your favorite triple chocolate fudge at bay for one day and opt for some frozen yogurt that is fat-free. You can try out both the ways discussed and stay fit and healthy.
