What's the best exercise to lose belly fat? While most people think that it is probably sit-ups or crunches they could not be more wrong. There is a big confusion as to how and when your body burns fat and the numerous misconceptions about weight loss are so ingrained in us that most people remain stuck and unable to lose weight. Fat loss probably not what you think it is. Your body is always burning fat and constantly trying to maintain an optimal percentage of fat. There are 2 big erroneous understandings about fat loss that you need to eliminate right now. 1. If you want to lose fat from your belly you have to do sit-ups. You cannot spot-reduce fat on any part of your body. You have to lose overall body fat if you want to lose any fat at all. 2. Eating fatty food causes you to become fat. Bad fats in your diet can make you fat, but the real cause of excess fat is not just fat in your diet. Nothing is as effective in losing fat as exercise. The simple truth is that you don't need complicated workouts. You simply need cardiovascular exercise - this is what will make your body burn fat faster. So, what is the best exercise to lose belly fat? Well, any exercise that raises your heart rate and as a rule of thumb you have to double your heart rate for at least 45 minutes during a workout. Here's a simple workout plan that you can follow. Start by walking for 30 minutes every day for at least a week. Start slow and make sure you stick to it for a full week. This will get you into a new routine and get you moving. For week 2 you have t start going faster while still only doing 30 minutes a day. For week 4 you should keep going at the faster pace, but now you have to add an extra 15 minutes to it. Once you are up to a 45 minute brisk walk 7 days a week you will be well on your way to losing weight. As you get fitter you can start doing more. You should aim to get fit enough to do 45 minute run wit ease. Trust me - once you are fit enough to do a 45 minute run (even if its slow) exercise becomes fun and losing weight becomes easy.
