If you find yourself looking at something for too long, you may end up straining your eyes. Such as working on a computer for hours. When that happens, your eyes become heavy and tired and you soon find yourself unable to focus properly. Here are 3 ways in which you can exercise your eyes properly. 1. Dot Exercise The first is the dot exercise. Search for a space or comma on a page before focusing on making it as clear as possible. Stare at either one until it comes into focus. Doing this will cause the period to become blurry. Then relax your eyes by closing them for 1 to 2 minutes before looking at the period again. This time without straining your eyes. Instead of staring directly, allow your eyes to move around the page and over the period slowly. You are free to brink a little in between. Rinse and repeat for another 1 or 2 times. 2. Word Exercise The second is the word exercise. Find a word with five or more letters. Then stare it until all the letters are in view but do not move the eyes. Focus mainly on the whole word while attempting to achieve the best image in your mind. Like Dot Exercise, staring and concentrating hard will cause the word to be blurr. rnThen relax your eyes and allow them to move slowly over, around, and across each letter of the word. You can blink a little while doing so. Let your eyes lead you without looking too hard. The word should become clearer when you look at it again. 3. Double Vision Exercise The third is the double vision exercise. rnIt involves getting your eyes to work together as a pair. Most people use one eye to look at one thing while thinking of something else with the other. Squinting can help your eyes to bring an object into focus without causing any unnecessary stress. To achieve this, you need to relax your eyes so that you are able to focus with a calm and composed mind. 4. Clock Exercise Stand in front of a clock. Then look at its centre starting with any hour mark without turning your head more than once. After 1 or 2 minutes, resume your centre position in terms of looking. Look at another hour mark before repeating the whole process. Do this at least 3 to 4 times. With that said, these 4 exercises should help to keep eyes relaxed and remain good for years to come.
