Everyone - since one of the most commonly used excuses for not exercises is their too busy, I wanted to blog about simple, basic tips you can do without taking too much time. In addition, since it's Fashion Week in NYC, I wanted to tie in entertainment professions by recommending some tips to accompany their worklife. Photographers need shoulder strengthening; lower back strength; chest stretches; upper back strength; core
  • 3-Way shoulder raise - front, lateral, reversern
  • Hyperestensionsrn
  • Two-way pec strech in a corner or doorwayrn
  • Lat pull (wide); and narrow grip reverse pulldownrn
  • Medicine Ball abs
Touring Musicians need a diet plan + cardio
  • Healthy Breakfast - Protein and Fruit w/ whole grain carbs - oatmeal is bestrn
  • Snack of apple and yogurtrn
  • Lunch - spinach salad w/ protein for energy for night showrn
  • Snack - Turkey roll-uprn
  • Dinner - usually late - protein, healthy carb like 4 oz potato; and green veggiesrn
  • LOADS of water for sustained energy and sweating done on stage and studio while on feet for extended periods
Designer Prep - need upper back strength; arm toning (for cute tops to show off arms); strong legs and back to walk and stand all day - cardio for lasting energy....
  • Seated rowsrn
  • Inverted Lateral Raises for shouldersrn
  • Tricep bench dipsrn
  • 21's bicep curlsrn
  • 3-way lungesrn
  • deadliftsrn
  • Cardio - 30 minutes at least 300 calories burned.... 45 would be fabulous!!
