Expeditions in Faith: Do you believe that the Divine only loves you when you get what you want?

We are very complex creatures. If you have ever seen the Matrix (and if you haven't, please watch it, big metaphysical movie), there is a scene where Morpheus offers Neo the choice of two different pills: blue, you go back to the Matrix and forget about your new awareness, and red, you become aware, very, very aware.

At some point in your spiritual journey, you are going to "wish" you didn't take the red pill. We often forget that we weren't really blissful, happy, felt safe, in the not knowing. We often have this push/pull relationship with the Divine. And, the spiritual culture enforces this relationship. Ask and you shall receive, your thoughts are your creations, and spiritual purpose equals riches.

It's just too damn simplistic! So what happens when we fail, when we don't get what we want, when we feel not enough, or when we experience shame? It can look like the Divine doesn't love us, or we don't mean anything to the Divine, or we're doing everything the Divine asks so why are we being punished?

It's a painful and frustrating place to be. Maybe, just maybe, we can ask different questions of our Soul to help release our misconceptions and turn toward a deeper truth. Instead of the asking the questions so many of us ask: Why am I not getting what I want? What am I doing wrong that I'm not getting what I want?

Connect to your Soul via your Soul Language team and ask:
"What does my Soul and the Divine want to share with me so that I can feel safe in this moment and experience and feel closer to the Divine?"

Worrying that your money will be used up cannot preoccupy you. Whatever money is spent is fine. The spending of money is encouraged because it destroys your greed and allows you to keep giving.
