This free standing concrete tower is the world’s tallest structure made from concrete only. It is located in Gezira Island in the River Nile. Tower’s proximity to the city center makes it quite famous among the tourists. It is around 45 meters taller than the Great Pyramid at Giza. 500 workers were employed and 8 million mosaic lozenges were used to construct the tower.
