Manali is comparatively rich in attractions. Hidimba or Dhoongri Temple is the highlight of Manali. The deity Hidimba was the wife of Bhim (Mahabharata character). The temple enjoys fame both historically as well as archaeologically. Located in the wooden forests, the temple hosts a festival in May. Another popular temple in Manali is 'Manu Temple'. According to the legend, Manu is the creator of the earth. Believed to be the only temple of Manu in the country, the temple draws tourists from different locations across the globe.

Hot water springs and the temples in Vashisht village are also popular attractions of Manali. Vashisht Muni is the presiding deity in one of these temples. Located at a distance of around 5 km from Manali, Nehru Kund is a natural cold water spring. Originated from Bhrigu lake, the kund is named after Pt. Jwahar Lal Nehru.
